Inkjet Printable DVD-R
Just as printable CD-Rs are a more stylish, more impressive alternative to ordinary CD-Rs, so are inkjet printable DVD-Rs a better looking alternative to regular DVD-Rs. Being able to print an image onto the front of your DVD-R or DVD+R looks so much better than scribbling on its surface with a Sharpie or CD marker. Handwritten DVDs are just plain sloppier than inkjet printed ones.
Surprisingly, you may find yourself wanting to watch movies printed on these DVDs less often (even when the quality of the moving image is precisely the same). Think of it as "feng shui" for blank media. Watching movies stored on attractive, cool looking DVDs will always be preferable to watching movies on messy discs. It doesn't make much logical sense, but it's true nonetheless.
Deltamedia.com carries inkjet printable DVD-Rs from manufacturers like Verbatim, Deltamedia, Prodisc, Taiyo Yuden, Opto Disc, Ridata, and Primera. These DVD-Rs range from 4X to 8X to 16X recording speeds. Hub printable discs, like those from Prodisc, can be printed right to their edges. Dual layer DVD-Rs are another exciting option; these DVDs are able to contain much more data than regular DVD-Rs (so they can hold longer movies, or even multiple movies).
