LTO Tape Cartridges
Linear Tape Open cartridges, or LTO tape cartridges, use magnetic tape to store data. In this sense, they are quite similar to DDS and DLT tapes. At the moment, Deltamedia.com does not carry LTO tape cartridges. Instead, we carry more tried and true data storage devices like DLT tapes.
This is not to say that we might not carry LTO tape cartridges in the future. We've always been committed to offering our customers the largest variety of choices. However, we're also committed to offering customers quality items they can rely on, which for now means selling reliable DLT, DAT, and DDS backup tapes.
Check out our awesome DLT tapes from data giant Quantum. This affordable DLT tape can hold 40GB of data--or 80GB of data with compression. The transfer rate is an impressive 12MB per second, and the tape's ceramic coating (a patented technique) makes it reliable and durable.
Our Super DLT tape (SDLT) from manufacturer Maxell can store a great deal of information. The inexpensive tape holds 110GB of uncompressed or 220GB of compressed data. At Deltamedia.com, we currently carry even more DDS and DAT tapes than DLT tapes, so consider these excellent forms of data storage, as well. You can expect to pay less than three dollars per tape for many of these high-quality DDS tapes. Not surprisingly, we're known for our exceptional prices as well as our terrific inventory.
